Learner swimmers at the Oakleigh Park School of Swimming (Oakleigh Park) can be assured that they are getting the highest quality lessons after OP signed up for the STA Swim Star Swim School Programme.

The programme created by STA (Swimming Teachers’ Association), a national governing body for swimming and lifesaving, has been designed to help independent swimming schools achieve the highest standards in safety, teaching, and customer service.

By signing up to it, Oakleigh Park, which teaches swimming at its Whetstone and Woodside Park venues, has committed to providing excellent standards and has pledged to maintain them through delivering the globally renowned International Learn to Swim Programme.

Zoe Cooper, Commercial Director at STA, said the Swim Star programme offers another level of reassurance to parents who entrust the care of the children to the swim schools.

“We are thrilled to welcome the Oakleigh Park School of Swimming to the Swim Star programme,” she said. “There are many excellent independent swim schools across the country but those signing up to our scheme, like the Oakleigh Park School of Swimming, are providing extra assurance to their customers of their commitment to maintaining the highest of standards in teaching.”

To be accepted as an STA Swim Star, independent swim schools must achieve STAmark accreditation as the minimum quality criterion - STAmark is an external accreditation system that signifies a swim school has demonstrated a level of understanding across all key health and safety aspects related to swim school operations.
