As a result of feedback from customers, and in the interest of maintaining high standards of hygiene to all our users, we will be operating a 'No Outdoor Shoes' Policy within our changing and pool areas from Monday 3rd November 2025.


Customers are politely asked to remove their footwear before entering the changing area or to put on the overshoes that will be provided. This will prevent the dirt on people’s shoes from being transferred onto the floor and into the pool.


This policy is common practice in leisure centres throughout the UK as well as the rest of Europe, as a way of addressing any potential problems of cleanliness in wet changing areas.


- This will be a trial for the second half of this term.

- The overshoes are not to be thrown away and are reusable. Please do not take them home.

- They can be found next to each changing room door.

- As adults walk in, please put the overshoes on to enter changing room. When you come out to watch a class, such as juniors, please place back in the box. Please do not take them home.

- Anyone with mobility issues, please carry on as before or ask staff for assistance.

- Children to take shoes off before entering changing room, and are welcome to wear flip flops or other pool shoes that they bring with them, as long as they have not come from the car park with them on. The overshoes will not fit children.

- Adults are welcome to bring their own flip flops with them, if preferred.

- We may politely remind you about this if you forget.


We hope you can appreciate that this step has been taken for the comfort of all our customers and to provide you with a cleaner changing environment and to upkeep our high standards or pool water. If you have any comments please feel free to speak to the staff on reception.
