Ron taught for the local council for over 30 years and was one of the founder members of the Royal Life Saving Society Middlesex Branch. He met Pam at The Finchley School of Swimming and eventually took on the running of this voluntary club. Both became Area Organisers for the RLSS. As well as this club, they started The Wood Green Swimming Club and ran lessons at The Mattison Road Swimming Pool (Harringay) and Church Farm Swimming Pool (East Barnet). In 1975 they built The Oakleigh Park School of Swimming in Whetstone to provide swimming lessons in small groups in warm water.

Sue has been at Oakleigh Park since the beginning. Sue is an STA Tutor and along with Jonathan runs our teaching and lifesaving qualifications. All 4 of her children work at the pools.

Jess learnt to swim at Oakleigh Park and has been manager for over 5 years. Jess works at the Whetstone and Woodside Park pools. Jess teaches all levels from juniors through to advanced coaching. Along with all the supervisors, she holds the Pool Plant Award as well as her teaching awards.

Sarah has been at Oakleigh Park from the start - Ron and Pam's eldest daughter, Jonathan's sister! Sarah's 3 children now work at our pools. Sarah teaches all levels from babies through to adults.
